Launched in 2014, Tablo is our DVR for TV antennas that targets the growing trend of cord-cutting and enables consumers to save thousands of dollars by cancelling expensive cable and satellite TV contracts and replacing them with free Over-The-Air (OTA) HDTV and internet video from companies like Netflix and Hulu.

Opportunity

The Software Quality Assurance Specialist works with customer success and software development teams to ensure top-quality software deliverables for our industry leading OTA DVR products. This includes validating firmware and application releases and participating in continuous improvement activities.

Duties and Tasks/Essential Functions

  • Gain a deep understanding of Nuvyyo product features
  • Develop detailed test plans for new firmware and client software releases
  • Clearly log any defects found, and work with other team members to resolve them
  • Follow established quality processes, while proactively identifying and collaborating on opportunities for process improvement

Education, Skills and Knowledge Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in computer science or a closely related discipline
  • At least three years of experience in a software testing role
  • Some experience with bug tracking software such as Github, Clubhouse
  • Ability to perform initial problem diagnosis in a technical environment, including understanding component interactions and analyzing product logs
  • Ability to speak and write clearly and accurately in English
  • Ability to work closely with other team members
  • Experience with home networking and media streaming devices is an asset
